Joint Action Prevent: Cancer and other NCDs prevention \u2013 Action on health determinants<\/h3><\/div>

Cancer and other non-communicable diseases (NCDs) represent a significant part of the disease burden in Europe, much of which is preventable. The Joint Action Prevent Non-Communicable Diseases (JA PreventNCD)<\/a> project is designed to address this challenge by supporting strategies and policies that aim to reduce the burden of cancer and NCDs, focusing on both personal and societal risk factors. JAPrevent NCD is a European project funded by the EU4Health program. Participating countries are more than 20 EU member states along with Norway, Iceland and Ukraine.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tObjectives<\/strong><\/span><\/div>

The aim of the Joint Action is to support strategies and policies aimed at reducing the burden of cancer and other non-communicable diseases. The objectives of these joint actions are: To improve the joint capacities of Member States to plan and implement cancer and other NCD prevention policies and activities at both national, regional and local levels.

– Improve data and the monitoring system for cancer and other NCDs and their common risk factors.
– Contribute to the reduction of social inequalities in cancer and other MCDs.
– Engage and support key stakeholders in the field of cancer and MCN prevention, including decision-makers at all levels of government, civil society organizations, professionals, the general population, and patient groups to facilitate cooperation and joint efforts.

\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\tMethods<\/strong><\/span><\/div>

The project aligns with the objectives of the European Beating Cancer Plan and the “Healthier Together \u2013 EU NCD Initiative”. Activities are organized through mandatory work packages, focused on coordination, dissemination, evaluation, integration of policies and technical areas such as social inequality and health policies. These activities are supported by research evidence on the causes of cancer and other MCDs and effective intervention strategies. In addition, four action grants are connected to this JA: ELISAH, FILTERED, PEACHD and Showup4Health.
