Her dissertation, titled \u201c<em><strong>Prevalence and prevention of smoking and second-hand smoke exposure in private homes,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> received an excellent grade. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her research examined how common smoking and second-hand smoke exposure are in households and the factors associated with them. The work also involved adapting and piloting an intervention designed to support families with children in <a href=\"https:\/\/icoprevencio.cat\/uct\/en\/uct\/?page_id=13476\">creating smoke-free homes<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The thesis was supervised by<strong> Esteve Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, Secretary of Public Health at the Department of Health and former head of the Tobacco Control Unit, and by <strong>Cristina Mart\u00ednez<\/strong>, the unit\u2019s current head.
