Graduated in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) in 1999. In 2000 she did a research stay at the Faculty of Psychology of Royal Holloway (University of London). She obtained the Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2004 and the Master’s degree in Serious Mental Disorder from the University of Barcelona in 2006. In 2009 she obtained the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Research Methods in Psychology from the University of Barcelona (UAB). In 2014 she obtained the PhD degree from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona (UB).
She has been working for over 15 years as a clinical psychologist in adult mental disorders in general and also in smoking in particular. She has translated books and other scientific texts in psychiatry from English and currently works as a reviewer of articles in several scientific journals.
The main area of research is tobacco control, specifically in the relationship between tobacco and mental disorders and the mental health care field. He has published numerous scientific articles on tobacco and the hospital environment, mental health and electronic cigarettes. Within the activities of the Catalan Network of Smoke-Free Hospitals, he works on the design, coordination and evaluation of programs related to tobacco control in the hospital environment in general and specifically in the area of mental health.
