Manuel Badino
Predoctoral researcher
Manuel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Public Health from the National University of Córdoba, Argentina. He has worked in the design, implementation and evaluation of addiction and mental health policies at the Ministry of Health of the Province of Córdoba, Argentina, and as a professor and coordinator of the Master’s degree in Public Health at the School of Public Health of the National University of Córdoba, Argentina.
He is currently carrying out his doctoral studies under the supervision of Dr. Xisca Sureda and Dr. Cristina Martínez, in the Epidemiology and Public Health Program of the University of Alcalá, and is part of the Research Group on Tobacco Control, led by Professor Esteve Fernández, at the Center for Biomedical Research in Respiratory Diseases Network (CIBERES), based at the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL), as a predoctoral researcher.
Her predoctoral research focuses on analyzing exposure to environmental tobacco smoke in outdoor spaces through mixed methods, using environmental and biological markers, as well as exploring population perceptions of exposure to environmental tobacco smoke and changes in legislation to promote smoke-free policies. Her fieldwork focuses on the city of Madrid.
