
Victoria Porthe
Victoria has a PhD in Health and Life Sciences with a specialization in Public Health (Pompeu Fabra University, 2009), a Master’s degree in Public Health and Health Management (University of Granada, Andalusian School of Public Health, 2001) and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (University of Buenos Aires, 2000).
She worked as a research assistant at the Research Group on Health Inequalities/Working Conditions Network (GREDS-EMCONET, Pompeu Fabra University) while completing her PhD. Since then, her professional experience in public health research has allowed her to participate in a wide variety of research topics, being part of multidisciplinary research groups at various institutions and universities working in epidemiology and public health. Her research interests include social determinants of health, health inequalities, community health interventions and vaccine hesitancy.
She has recently joined the Tobacco Control Unit to work on the PIECES project. This project aims to improve the reach and effectiveness of primary prevention programs by developing and testing an innovative toolkit known as the PCP Integrated Implementation Toolkit (PCP-IT), designed to guide and support users in the selection, adaptation and implementation of cancer prevention programs.
