The second annual meeting of the PIECES project, an ambitious EU-funded project led by members of the Tobacco Control Unit of the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), took place in Utrecht (The Netherlands) on 10-11 June.
The event brought together partners from 15 countries to share the latest developments in their respective working groups. This meeting, organised by the UMC partners from Amsterdam and the Trimbos Institute team, both based in the Netherlands, was an important step in discussing project progress and a key milestone in the partnership’s journey towards the development of the Primary Cancer Prevention Integrated Implementation Toolkit (PCP-IT), which will guide users through the process of selecting, adapting and implementing primary cancer prevention programmes.
The event was also attended by members of the PIECES Advisory Board, who provided expert advice in line with appropriate legal, ethical and social issues and the overall philosophy and direction of the project.
