The event was held at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the Bellvitge Campus of the University of Barcelona (UB).

After the words of the director of IDIBELL, Gabriel Capellá , who opened the event, the Strategic Plan for the year 2025 was presented by Laia Alemany , who coordinates the Program together with Raúl Zamora . As objectives for the future, she highlighted the need to increase collaboration between the different programs that make up EPIBELL and its national and international visibility .

The meeting also served to present new projects, strategic alliances and five experiences of collaborative projects between different EPIBELL programs. To close, attendees were able to enjoy a conference on lessons from participatory research in mental health applicable to oncology by three external guests from the Sant Joan de Déu Health Park.

The EPIBELL Program has a multidisciplinary group of professionals made up of epidemiologists, pathologists, geneticists, biologists, nutritionists, computer scientists, statistical technicians, economists and specialists in research and administration support. Together they develop research projects and studies related to the causes of cancer and its prevention, early diagnosis and the evaluation and improvement of quality in oncological care.
